What Is PictureSwitch?

PictureSwitch is an application that allows you to change your desktop picture quickly, and easily without having to go all the way to the System Preferences to do so. PictureSwitch places a menu in your menu bar which can be accessed from any application at any time. The PictureSwitch menu displays the images in a folder of your choosing. Selecting an item in the menu will instantly change your desktop picture to that item. You can also choose the placement settings of your desktop picture.

Features

- Quickly change your desktop picture from a system-wide menu
- Any folder of images can be used for the menu
- Set the placement of your desktop image easily (Fill Screen, Center, Tile, etc)
- Access the menu from any application

How To Use

After the first time you start PictureSwitch, you must go to the System Preferences application (located in the Applications folder), and choose a desktop pictures folder in the PictureSwitch preference pane.

How To Install

To install PictureSwitch, simply drag the application into your Applications folder and run it. If you want to launch PictureSwitch every time your computer starts up, add it to your Login Items which you can set in System Preferences.

Notes

- The "Change Picture" checkbox in the Desktop & ScreenSaver preferences must be unchecked. PictureSwitch cannot work if the desktop picture is automatically being changed.
- More than 100 images in the folder can cause sluggish performance, by default PictureSwitch limits the menu to 100 images, but this can by changed in the preferences.
