WindowClipMBI is a Mac menu bar application to create clipboard snapshots of the windows on your Mac in any application, for any application.
To use: Install and run the application. Click on the menu bar icon for WindowClipMBI to display its menu. The menu shows the windows currently displayed by your Mac. Make a menu selection corresponding to the window you want to take a snapshot of. The image of the window is put on the clipboard, signaled by the harp sound.

Suppose this is your Desktop:

iPhoto has a window open showing the Roman Coliseum. To take a snapshot of this window, just select it from the WindowClipMBI:

Some items on your desktop are windows you can take snapshots of. For example, here is a picture of the clipboard containing an image of the Dock window, after making the appropriate WindowClipMBI menu selection:

Use the system preference pane to specify various options (this window picture was created with WindowClipMBI):
Available Options: include Desktop windows, ignore framing effects like shadows, and creating an opaque image.
You can use the "App Filters" panel to prevent windows of specified apps from showing in the menu:

Drag applications into the list, or use the "Add" button to browse for apps in the file system. Note that system apps, like the Finder, are located in
/System/Library/CoreServices
