Note: Contextual Menu plug-ins are not supported in Mac OS X 10.6 and above. Please use the service application OpenPListService instead of OpenPListCM.

OpenPListCM is a contextual menu item, for Mac OS 10.4 and 10.5, for opening, revealing, trashing or deleting the property list of an application, if it can find one in the Preferences folder of your Home directory. It can also be used to open the "Info.plist" file inside the applications bundle.

OpenPListService is a service application with the same functionality as the classic contextual menu..

The following commands are available:

Open Property List - Opens the property list.

Reveal Property List - Reveals the property list in the Finder.

Trash Property List - Puts the property list in the trash.

Delete Property List - Deletes the property list. Caution: the property list is really deleted, not moved to the trash.

Open Info.plist - Opens the property list in an applications bundle.

On Mac OS 10.6, when the OpenPListService app is running, these menu items are available in the Finder's contextual menu's Service items, or the Finder's Services menu, when you have a selection made in the Finder.

Open Property List works a bit different in the service: you can apply it to documents as well as to application. In the former case the service tries to find the application associated with the document, and open (trash, delete, reveal) the property list of that associated app.
