LaunchOnTime

LaunchOnTime is a utility app for opening files (including apps), folders or executing AppleScripts (optionally emailing results) at specified times.

Drag and drop files or use the "Browse" button to add files to the list window. Then select one or more items and use the "Date-Time" selector to schedule their launch date.

If the file is an AppleScript it will be executed, otherwise the file will be opened in the default application for the type of file. Optionally, AppleScript results can be emailed to the specified recipient in Preferences.

Click the "Start" button to run the schedule. Various options are available using the Preferences window. In particular you can have LaunchOnTime send an email to a specified recipient when items are launched.

LaunchOnTime will wake up a sleeping computer prior to a launch time if you run it as "root user." To do so use Chalaut.

How to install: Simply place the application into your Applications folder.

Drag the items you want to launch into the items list, Then select them and use the "Date-Time" button to display the date and time chooser to set the date and time to launch items. When all items have ben scheduled click the start button to start the launch timers.

LaunchOnTimeService is an auxiliary service application which is identical in function to LaunchOnTime, but runs in the background. The service provides two service items, which appear in the "General" section of Services Preferences:

Open LaunchOnTime Window: opens an items list window for adding items to schedule, just as in LaunchOnTime.

Close LaunchOnTime Window: closes the items list window. This item is provided so that you can close the window with a keyboard shortcut.
