LSDate s a menu bar item which copies the current date and time onto the clipboard. Various formats supported.
LSDate also displays the date and time in the menu bar, in various styles. Use the system preference pane to select a style, such as GMT.
LSDate can also be used as a calendar-clock, that serves a dual purpose as a means of selecting a date for display in the menu bar items for copying to the clipboard.

To copy a specific date and time to the clipboard open the date-time chooser by selecting "Date-Time Chooser" from the menu:

The items in the menu will correspond to the date and time chosen in this window. When you close the date-time chooser the menu items revert back to the current date and time.
Use the system preference pane to specify various options the display of the menu. To open the preference pane select "Preferences..." from the menu bar menu, or select "LSDate" from the "Other" section of the System Preferences window:

Select "Use Symbolic Names" to display the name of the type of menu item:

Otherwise the actual date and time value will be displayed. Select "Include Date Only Items" or "Include Time Only Items" to optionally include menu items that display only the date or time, respectively.
Put the application into your login items if you want it to launch automatically whenever you log in. Go to System Preferences "Accounts" and then click the "Login Items" pane. Then simply drag LSDate into the list.
