Aggregator is a utility for aggregating a set of files into subfolders based on their extension, file type, mime type, modification date or creation date. Each such subfolder is named using the common extension, type or mime type of the files it contains:

The original files are not moved, but copied.

This functionality is available as a service. Use the Services menu in the Finder:
